How do I connect with another business?
You could connect with another business either by sending a direct ‘Add to contact’ invitation or by using the ‘Introduction tool’
Click on the ‘Add to contact’ button in the showcase of the business you would like to connect.
This brings up the ‘Add to contact’ popup.
Provide at least one management reference within the business you would like to connect.
Click on the ‘View relation’ link to see if you are related with the business through any of your contacts.
If there is a relation, then you have an option to either connect directly by clicking on the Add to contact button or be introduced through an intermediately contact using the Introduction Tool.
You could also find the Introduction and Add to contact buttons in the Network section of the showcase.
How does the introduction feature work?
Introduction’ is an efficient way to connect with a new business/member with the help of intermediately contacts between you and the business you wish to connect.
To use the Introduction tool, Click on the ‘Add to contact’ button in the showcase of the business with whom you would like to connect.
This brings up the ‘Add to contact’ popup.
Provide at least one management reference within the business you would like to connect and click on the ‘ View relation’ link to see if you are related with the business through any of your contacts.
If there is a relation, only then would you see the introduction button.
Clicking on the Introduction button brings up the introduction page.
Select the member/business through which you would like to be introduced.
Type a message to that member as well as a message to the business you wish to be introduced. When done, click on the ‘Send‘ button .
You could also find the Introduction button in the network section of the showcase of the business you wish to be to be introduced.
What do the following mean?
Means first degree of connection. You and the business you are viewing are directly connected.
Means second degree of connection. You and the business you are viewing have a mutual / common contact (a business who happens to be yours as well as the viewing business’s contact)
Means third degree of connection. You and the business you are viewing are connected to each other by a chain of contacts consisting of a contact from your user network and a contact from the viewing business’s user network.
How do I delete a contact from my Business network?
To delete a contact, click on the contact link on the left side of the Dashboard page, to open up the Contacts page.
Click on X next to the contact you would like to delete permanently.
What is the difference between ‘ Among Contacts’ and ‘ Among all members of Bizhands and Guests’?
Bizhands offers two modes of privacy:
‘Among Contacts’ : Assigning this mode of privacy enables the contact to be seen only among your contacts . Guests and other members of the system will not be able to see this contact in the Business Network section of your showcase.
‘ Among Contacts’ marked contacts cannot be used to draw relations with other members of the system, thereby restricting your reach to be introduced to new members of bizhands
‘Among all members of Bizhands and Guests’ : Assigning this mode of privacy enables the contact to be seen among all guests and members of the system . Guests and other members of the system will be able to see this contact in the Network section of your showcase.
‘ Among all members of Bizhands and Guests ’ marked contacts are used to draw relations with other members of the system, thereby expanding your reach to be introduced to new members of bizhands
How do I change the visibility of a contact from ‘ Among contacts’ to ‘ Among all members and Guests’?
Click on the contacts link on the right side of the Dashboard page.
Click on edit link next to the contact whose visibility you would like to change.
Under the visibility change section, change the visibility and click on Save.
A request to change visibility would be sent to the contact. Until approval of this request, the visibility mode for that contact would remain the same.
What does references in the Contact page, Add to contact popup and the Introduction pages mean?
In order to connect with any business / company / firm, you need to know someone in the management.
The check boxes below References show the list of management. Makes sure you check at least one, in order to send an invitation to that business.
References are helpful for businesses run by more than one person, where identifying ‘who is whose’ contact becomes important.
How do I change the references for a contact?
Click on the Contact link on the left side of the Dashboard page.
Click on the edit link on the contacts page.
Make changes under the References section and click on the Save button
How do I forward an introduction?
When you receive a pending approval from someone wanting to be introduced to a member, you might know directly or indirectly:
Click on the pending approval link
Click on the view link next to ‘Introduction’ to bring up the introduction page
After reading the messages in the introduction page, click on the Forward button.
Select the member/business through which you would like to forward the introduction.
Type a message to that member.
When done, click on the ‘Send ‘ button.
How do I connect with a business outside of Bizhands?
To connect with Businesses out of bizhands, click on the share button on your showcase.
Enter the email address of the contact with whom you would like to connect.
